The crash took place around 8 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, when the two cars collided at the intersection of Secor and Archer Roads, said Jack Casey with the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
"Fire Police took control of the morning commuters, slowing them to a safe speed through the accident scene allowing emergency personnel to do their jobs," Casey said.
Although airbags deployed in both vehicles, all drivers and passengers refused treatment, he said.
Carmel Police are investigating the crash.
